Here Be Dragons is a multiplayer installation created by Jérôme Cortie, for which I had the pleasure to work on the soundtrack and sound designs.

Set during the collapse of the Bronze Age, the players are invited to explore and interact with antique civilisations of the Mediterranean basin, guided by an astro-monastic consortium - five divinities who can change the plot of history. In the style of a 'Choose Your Own Adventure', the game features many narrative paths depending on the players actions, taking them through quirky situations and multiple planes of reality that draw parallels with the absurdity of our own times.

The music changes with the physical installation, as spectators can interfere with the game by silencing each astromonk individually. Each divinity was then associated with a set of instruments, themes and textures that span over the entire soundtrack, mixing antique instruments samples of the region with synthetic noises and processes. The OST version is a specific arrangement of in-game music for a better listening experience IRL.
